Slot Talk
*********
It seems that everyone who plays the slots has one burning question they want answered......Where are those loose slots? There are many answers to this slot question but don't spend your money on a book to learn the answers.

Everybody wants to know the answer to this question and believe me, it is not an easy question to answer because it begs many more questions. For example; Where are the loose slots in Nevada? in Vegas? on the strip? Downtown? in which Casino? where in the casinos? We are not trying to be cute or evasive but merely trying to show the complexity of the question. OK here goes, the most common answer is, loose slots are placed at the end of the aisles, it is believed that if they are placed where people walk by they will generate excitement and interest for others.

Individuals will often tell you what Casino has the best Loose slots. This advice comes from the fact they have won on the slots in a particular Casino and therefore consider the slots to be loose. Some casinos place "loose" slots randomly but they are are loose only to the extent that they have frequent but smaller payoffs. If carefully studied you will find that they will take your money a little slower than the "regular" slots but they will take your money.

Don't sweat all the slot lore, it's just that, play the slots to have fun, you can spend a lifetime trying to figure them out and never really succeed. Have fun and if you win it's a bonus.

New slot Tournament feature.
****************************
We are busy working with one of our sponsors to deliver a "Free" slot tournament to you. We haven't finalized all the details but we're working on it. Basically what we want to deliver is a free slot tournament on a periodic basis whereby the winners (highest scores for the tournament) get cash credits at the River Belle Casino. You can indicate your interest on my slotworld site just click on this URL and it will take your there. Casino talk..New feature. ************************ We have implemented another new feature on our main Las Vegas site I call it Casino talk. you'll find it at; Check it out and join in the fun, anything goeos as long as its about gambling. This happened to me at the Flying Eagle Casino on Tuesday April 07/98. My luck seemed to be all bad at the slots and so I decided a little change of pace at the roulette table was in order. I stepped up to a table with 5 other players, laid down 50.00 and got 50 dollar chips. As soon as the icon was removed from the table I made my usual and long standing bet by surrounding number 26. One chip on the number and one on each of the four lines around it. The ball was fired and sped around and around finally dropping down and stopping on, you guessed it, 26 for 103.00 dollars. Elated by my immediate win I just left my bet on 26 and waited for the second spin. That little ball ran right for the same slot and a repeat win on 26. Another 103.00 dollars, I quickly cashed in tipped the dealer and walked away like the boy that stole the pie. I'm sure the players around that table thought I knew something and I did. I knew I was damn lucky. I checked out the table 8 spins later and 26 had not come up again. Maybe you have a story to share with the rest of us, why don't you tell it on Casino talk, I'd love to hear from you. I'm going to keep these letters short and send them out more often. Cheers and good luck. Bill Konrad The gamblers choice; Issue 1 Volume 1

The wild growth of the gaming industry;
**************************************
Never has anything enjoyed the phenomenal growth of the gaming industry, with new Casinos growing at a rate so rapid it is virtually impossible to keep up. Gaming technology is enjoying no less an explosive growth. A recent trip to Las Vegas, after a 16 month absence, just blew me away. Sinatras theme song NY NY became a Casino reality along with Monte Carlo, and the crowds just keep coming.

Down with the old up with the new
*********************************
In the past four years Vegas has witnessed the demise of many Casinos like the Dunes, the Sands and the Marina to mention a few. All of them quickly replaced with huge gambling palaces with thousands of rooms and gigantic Casinos. Three new Casinos are being built as we write, one to replace the Dunes, one for the Sands and a new one with a Parissiene theme just down the strip from ballys'.

Ballys MGM Shuttle
******************
Of course the shuttle monorail from Bally's to MGM Grand has now been running for close to two years, seems like yesterday it was in the planning stages. Now a neat streamlined train carrying passengers back and forth every few minutes is old news. For those of you who have not been to Vegas in a few years, your in for a real surprise.

New machines new technology new graphics.
*****************************************
On my last trip to Lake Tahoe and Las vegas I saw for the first time the new Wheel of fortune machines, quite exciting. Patterned after the real game, when the correct symbol appears on the third reel and on the middle line the player is eligible to spin the "Wheel of fortune" and depending on where the wheel stops, wins the prize indicated by the wheel. The Imperial Palace features some new machines with "knockout" graphics. Any one of four games can be chosen by touching the screen. My favourite was fort knox. When all the right conditions are met the combination to the safe at Fort Knox unlocks the safe and coins (graphics) cascade into the "graphic" hopper and apprear as credits you can cash in or play.

Virtual Casinos the latest craze
********************************
I get lots a Email asking about the on line Casinos. The questions are almost always on the honesty of On line casinos. Are they fair, do they pay off, how will I get my money, in short are they rigged? My answer is always the same. Like land casinos in Vegas or anywhere else, they have more to lose than they have to gain by being rigged. I believe for the most part the games are as random as technology will allow, that is where randomness is the essence of the game such as Roulette and Black jack. The virtual slots are set similar to any slot machine found in Vegas, Reno, Tahoe or anywhere elese in the country. As most know, slots are set to pay back, at least the legal minimum, and up to anything over the legal minimum determined by the Casino. Available technology can provide similar results.

My answer to a question of Virtual casinos reliability.
******************************************************
Hi Rolfe, Thanks for advising me about getting your money from Starluck actually I asked them the question you posed and got an answer just the other day, it was consistent with the way you were treated. They told me that they cedit winnings back to your credit card up to the amount of the original debit and mail the rest which takes from 2 to 3 weeks. The mails are unbelievably slow from that part of the planet.

Here comes the commercial; Some on-line Casinos featured on my gambling site at ; http://www.netcore.ca/~billk/vegas_casino.html Starluck Casino, Casino-on-net, Royal Magic Casino and ElGordo lottery. Patronize the above casinos and lotteries.

The unforgiving internet grapevine.
***********************************
Virtual Casinos engaging in rigged gaming would soon be found out and hounded out of the business. I can't imagine a worse fate, as a Virtual casino operator, than being exposed as a fraud on the Internet. Perhaps I'm being naive, but thats my take.

I've kept this letter purposely short so as not to lose your interest too soon. If you have enjoyed this letter my Email address is billk@netcore.ca I'd like to hear your comments and things you would like to read about in future issues.
