DSL Connection in Windows XP


DSL is a Broadband connection that requires a usename and password so select the Second feature by clicking on it.
Click on Next to continue.


The Connection Name can be anything you'd like, to keep it simple type in WINCOM DSL.
Click on Next to continue.


DSL connection usernames require the suffix of @dsl.wincom.net after your username (ie my username is kevinm so for connecting on DSL I need kevinm@dsl.wincom.net)
Fill in your password as supplied from WINCOM, if you have upgraded from a dialup account your password should be the same. when entering your password be aware of the following:
CapLock is always OFF; NumLock is always ON.
The next three (3) features should be OK if left on but Internet Connection Firewall may stop some Internet applications from functioning. The ICF feature can be disabled or enabled else ware after you create this connection.
Click on Next to continue.


This final screen summerizes the settings that are configured for your new DSL Connection, also allows you to add a shortcut on your desktop for it also.
Click on Finish to complete the ICW.

You should now be asked to connect, Test it out.
