Dialup Connection in Windows XP

Click on Connect using a dial-up modem
Click Next.

For the ISP Name you can enter WINCOM or WINCOM Dial-up 56k, you are not restricted on what is typed here.
Click Next.

Enter 945-8600 for the access number; you may enter a calling prefix to place the Internet call. A Calling prefix could be that you need to have a 9 for accessing an outside line or a *70, to disable call waiting.
Click Next to continue.

Fill in your Username as you have requested from us, this is also known as the Account name or UserID. It should now have any suffixes (ie. @wincom.net, ...). All usernames are always in Lowercase
Your password has also been supplied to you, this can be uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and letters. Be aware of the CapsLock and NumLock.
CapLock is always OFF; NumLock is always ON.
The next three (3) features should be OK if left on but Internet Connection Firewall may stop some Internet applications from functioning. The ICF feature can be disabled or enabled else ware after you create this connection.
Click Next to the finish screen.

This finish screen shows you what is featured in your walkthrough.
Most people like having a Shortcut to their desktop for their dialup connect. This shortcut can be used to connect and to disconnect.
